Gabbi Gifford, CPC, CDEO, CPMA, CRC
With nearly a decade of hands-on billing and coding experience, Gabbi combines on-the-job training under physicians and office managers with formal education and multiple certifications through AAPC.
Her career began in 2015 at a local optometry office, where she worked as a front desk receptionist, optician, technician, and biller. It was there that her passion for coding and documentation education grew. In 2021, Gabbi earned her AAPC Certified Professional Coder (CPC) credential and has since added three more certifications: Certified Documentation Improvement Expert Outpatient (CDEO), Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA), and Certified Risk Adjustment Coder (CRC).
Gabbi launched Gifford Medical Billing as a contract service in 2019. As her expertise and passion expanded, so did her business. In July 2024, she rebranded and publicly introduced consulting and education services under the new name, Philomath Coding.
